He advises clients with diverse focuses ranging from gaming, hospitality, and beverages to financial services, pharmaceuticals, and packaging. Here are a few examples of the results Steve gets:
- He led the renegotiation of a large government defense contractor’s existing 10-year, IT outsourcing agreement (in year three) valued over $2 billion. Steve jointly worked with the client and service provider, addressing all key service delivery, service level, pricing, and governance issues, resulting in a new contract with savings exceeding 25%.
- Steve developed IT-outsourcing agreements and schedules for a large property and casualty insurer and a media client. Working in collaboration with the companies’ sourcing providers, he negotiated multi-year $175 and $90 million contracts, reducing costs by 25 and 30% respectively.
- For a global technology manufacturer, Steve led an analysis and renegotiation of an existing 12-year outsourcing relationship and other key service contracts valued at over $700 million annually. Developing a new sourcing strategy, Steve worked with the client’s IT leadership team to address all service, processes, pricing and governance issues. The result was a new multi-vendor set of contract relationships with cost savings that exceeded 50%.
- As an interim CEO/CIO of an online promotions technology company and Head of Infrastructure at a Financial Services upstart, Steve developed new business and IT strategies to redefine the company environments. He restructured the organizations, implemented new management processes, reduced monthly operational costs by 35-40%, and led the organizational changes while maintaining high employee morale.
Prior to joining WGroup, Steve was a consultant with aligne, Inc., where he strategized and solved IT and business management problems for Fortune 500 clients. As a project executive with IBM Global Services, he managed several long-term, client-sourcing contracts valued at up to $1 billion and was the executive P&L owner for three long-term contracts, managing IT infrastructure, network, applications development, service desk, and program office.
