Rick Letourneau has over 25 years of experience leading organizational IT transformational projects. With core expertise in Service Management, Strategic Sourcing, Integration, and Vendor Management, he provides guidance and leadership to organizations looking to drive transformational change with the goal of increasing IT’s value to the business.

Rick has worked with several Fortune 50 companies on specific initiatives that resulted in substantial transformational change. He focuses on three key foundations in identifying opportunities for change and increasing value to the business: maximizing operational efficiency, service innovation, and building organizational capabilities.

Rick begins the process by evaluating these three key foundation capabilities in the organization and diagnosing opportunities to transform. After examining the current delivery model against corporate and IT strategies, a transformational plan is established. This plan becomes the strategic road map to deliver value based change. Critical to success is the organization’s ability to change. Rick provides experienced leadership in planning change and assisting organizations in cultivating a culture that is committed to transformation.

Rick has held executive leadership roles and provided results in a range of industries, including healthcare (provider and payer), insurance, financial, consumer goods and packaging, manufacturing, media and entertainment. With extensive experience in IT Service Management, Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Management, Organizational and Service Integration, Rick imparts his experienced view, knowledge and leadership to drive sustainable change.

Highlights from his recent project portfolio include:

  • Developing a vendor management function for a prominent healthcare provider, including designing a set of processes and full life cycle delivery model for leveraging the supplier network. Developing vendor strategy and contract rationalization for a portfolio with over 300 contracts resulted in a significant reduction in operational expense and an organizational capability to leverage value from their partner network.
  • Developing, implementing and managing a sourcing strategy and a set of infrastructure services contracts (valued at $1 billion) for a Fortune 50 Healthcare organization – resulting in a 50% reduction in contract spend over five years. Additionally, Rick conducted a service delivery model assessment of four organizations, creating an action plan to consolidate services and delivery resources into a shared-services model. The result was a streamlined service deliver model and an operational expense reduction of several million dollars.
  • Leading an operational expense reduction project for a Fortune 50 medical supply company, resulting in a 15% reduction of storage operational expenses across multiple organizations. Additionally, Rick led an organizational integration project to develop a strategy and transformational roadmap to integrate nine disparate service organizations into a shared-services model. This resulted in an optimized service-delivery model.

Prior to joining the WGroup, Rick held senior level positions at Tata Consultancy Service, NorthHighland Consulting and Hewlett Packard. Providing consulting services for industry-leading companies, he developed strategies and transformational programs centered on IT Service Management, IT Outsourcing and Service Model Optimization.

Rick earned a bachelor’s of science degree in business and marketing at Southern New Hampshire University and a graduate certificate in project management from Boston University. He holds certifications in project management and ITIL.
