Keith Chappell is a strategic business leader who has facilitated both growth and operational improvement in complex, global organizations. He has extensive experience in applying innovative and rigorous analytical approaches to solve complex problems, including identifying and assessing market opportunities, developing growth strategies, and translating those strategies into actionable business plans.  Keith has led corporate strategy organizations and professional services business units at major global technology corporations for over 15 years.

Recently, Keith led strategy consulting at a leading analytics company, where worked with clients to apply advanced analytical techniques to align business strategy with execution and operational performance.  Under Keith’s guidance, the company developed enterprise-wide business intelligence systems for clients to allow better understanding of the drivers of business unit success or failure.

Prior to joining WGroup, Keith led the corporate strategy team at Unisys, where he had oversight of both an extensive data-driven turnaround program, and a strategic repositioning of the company. The turnaround program that Keith led resulted in an improvement in operating cash flow of more than 120% over a two year period. The strategic repositioning effort enabled Unisys to grow at double digit percentages in key strategic spaces in the year following implementation.

Previously, Keith spent nine years at Lucent Technologies, including five years leading the Lucent Corporate Strategy organization. As Vice President of Corporate Strategy, Keith led strategic initiatives focused on portfolio restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and regional growth and new market entry. Keith also led the Global Communications Applications Practice within LWS Professional Services, where he expanded that business from $35 million in revenue per year to a run rate of over $100 million per year over a three year period.

Earlier, Keith spent five years with the Texas office of McKinsey & Company, consulting with clients and leading strategy engagements in computing, high-tech and other industries. Keith had previously worked within the Mission Operations Directorate at NASA as a Space Shuttle propulsion systems flight controller.

Keith received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rice University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
