Greg Dew has over 20 years of hands-on sourcing leadership experience in analysis and design, project planning and management, cost analysis, problem solving and negotiation in various roles as the user/customer, vendor and sourcing advisor. Focusing on adapting his sourcing expertise and analytical, organizational and strategic insight to specific client situations, Greg creates strategic advantage, financial benefit, technological advancement and improved quality of services.
Greg’s varied background includes preparing technology operational assessments and strategies, planning and managing multifaceted technology projects and leading pricing and terms negotiations for global agreements. His practical experience encompasses programs and projects addressing systems integration, business process outsourcing, application development and maintenance, web hosting and technology infrastructure sourcing on a global basis. Greg has been exposed to several industries such as financial, manufacturing and distribution, telecommunications, health care and life sciences, technology service providers and public sector organizations. Greg has led or participated in a variety of engagements from performance review, strategy development, analysis and planning to competitive sourcing and negotiation, implementation and operational reviews, including evaluation of US, global and offshore service providers.
Recently, Greg led the financial team that provided analysis, evaluation and negotiation of global pricing agreements for ADM services. For one global mobile telecom services provider, the results meant forecast savings in excess of $1 billion (7 years) while achieving desired flexibility, service level commitment and HR objectives. For individual operating companies throughout Europe, Greg provided on-site support for negotiation of specific local agreements to implement the global agreements while preserving the global deal principles.
For a leading financial information services company, Greg led the financial workstream while managing the overall project to competitively source financial processing, transaction (order) processing, data programming and call center functions. The project resulted in significant near-term costs savings as well as commitments to further savings resulting from transformational and operational synergies from the comprehensive outsourcing program.
Prior to joining WGroup, Greg was a senior consulting manager with Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman's global sourcing consulting practice where he focused on assessment of service delivery models, financial analysis, negotiation, and project management.
Previously, at Dell Computer, Greg led design, implementation and management of a revenue-generating project management function/organization (Project Office) responsible for planning and control of IT solution delivery, including global deployment and outsourcing. In addition, he initiated the solution architect role for a public sector business segment.
Earlier, Greg was a vice president with Maximus/Spectrum Consulting Group, a technology management consulting firm specializing in effective integration of technology to solve complex management problems. He provided on-site leadership of large-scale client programs to develop solution requirements, plan and manage competitive procurements and provide quality assurance oversight services.
Greg has earned B.S and M.Ed. degrees from Texas A&M University.
